EXTRA LINE SPACING
Are you plagued with extra line spacing after you hit enter? Here's how to make that stop.
In Google Docs
If you are on a blank document, just follow the directions.
If you have already begun your work (or finished), hold down control and hit "a" to highlight the entire paper. Then, make the following adjustments.
1. Click on the Line Spacing icon. This has three horizontal lines, with an up and down arrow on the left side.
2. Choose "Custom Spacing" in the third section.
3. In the box that pops up, select "2" in the Line spacing box (for MLA format) and in the Before and After boxes, make sure the numbers are both set on zero.
4. Hit apply.
To set this as your default, go to Format, Paragraph styles, in the box that will appear to the right, go to the bottom option and click on "Options" and then click "Save as my default styles" and then click "Use my default styles."
